Psychological Services specialises in working with families in distress. Family distress could be related to marital issues, family conflict, mental health issues or elderly care issues. These families could be contemplating divorce and would like to either salvage the marriage or find alternate ways to end the marriage amicably, without the need to enter into the court process. Some families could also be in the midst of divorce proceedings, or coping with the aftermath of divorce, and are in need of psychological support.
Our psychologists will be part of a multidisciplinary team to assist families in preserving family ties, restoring relationships and resolving disputes amicably so as to minimise harm on children. This could also include psychological services for vulnerable adults (e.g., elderly, neglected) who may need support and/or protection, and ongoing intervention to help them to cope. Our psychologists will provide psychological assessments (e.g., mental health and cognitive assessment), direct therapeutic interventions, online counselling, alternate dispute resolutions and professional consultations to families in need. We also provide forensic and clinical assessments to courts for matters relating to child custody and divorce proceedings.
